Thursday 2nd - Sunday 5th May 2024

at Ladywell Retreat Centre,

Ashstead Lane, Godalming, Surrey,

GU7 1ST

We are offering this opportunity for anyone who has completed an 8-week Mindfulness course to refresh and deepen their practice in a residential retreat.

For teachers, this retreat fulfils part of the UK Network’s Good Practice Guidelines and the required commitment for BAMBA to attend a 5-day annual retreat.

We will explore together what is at the heart of our own understanding of stillness, silence and simplicity. How does this manifest in our practice and our lives. What is our felt sense and experience of these states of being? What would be a helpful way to extend and deepen our practice towards stillness, silence and simplicity. Together we will open to exploring our resistances and what preoccupations and challenges hinder us in deepening our practice.

Fees £465 - includes teaching, accommodation, meals and refreshments

some concessions are available.

Mindfulness Practice Days

Mindfulness Practice Day: "EMBODIED PRESENCE”

Saturday 24th February 2024, 10 am – 4 pm

with Barbara Hussong

This is an opportunity to engage with and deepen our Mindfulness practice. The format of the day is similar to the All-Day Practice that was part of the 8-week Mindfulness course you have done in the past. You will be guided throughout the day in Mindfulness sitting, walking and movement meditation practices. In this way we can cultivate a sense of being present in our body and mind, and appreciating each moment with kindness - in our practice and with people around us in everyday life.

Large parts of the day, including the lunch break, will be in silence in order to be able to focus on our experience from moment-to-moment. In the afternoon there will be an opportunity to have a private conversation with me about your Mindfulness practice and any related questions you might want to bring up.

Early bird until 20th January: £55 (concs. available), thereafter: £60

Compassionate Living Days

last one held on Saturday 16th September 2023

10 am - 4 pm online via Zoom

Suited for those who have completed the Mindfulness-Based Compassionate Living course.

This will be an opportunity to come together and practise the exercises of the MINDFULNESS-BASED COMPASSIONATE LIVING course that you have done in the past. As we have been living with enormous challenges, particularly since COVID and now with even a lot more worries in our everyday life, compassion for ourselves and for others is a sane response to many pressures we are facing and this approach needs sustained and regular practice.

Much of the day will be in silence and at the end there is the space to share your experience.

I am offering this day online, as COVID regulations are still in flux and to make it accessible for all and include those who don't live in the Maidstone area. We will take regular breaks from the screen for refreshments and lunch and include walking and movement practices.

The fee for the day is £40 - 60. Please choose which amount is appropriate to you at this time.
