The 8 - Week Mindfulness Course
teaches you how to bring your awareness to the present moment through regular meditation, and to use this skill in your daily life.
The course aims to
assist you in taking better care of yourself,
increase your ability to relax and to
cope more effectively with both short and long-term stress,
face difficulties and illness with greater wisdom,
appreciate and enjoy the moments of your life more.
The Course involves
experiential training in the various Mindfulness Meditations.
You will be introduced to and learn the meditation practices in class and explore your experience of those practices.
Between classes you will have the opportunity to practice at home, supported by CDs
and a workbook. This home practice is an essential part of the course and people who
commit themselves to one hour of practice a day benefit most from doing the course.

The course is offered to groups, individuals and as a distance learning course. It includes
an individual orientation session,
eight 2-hour class sessions,
(eight 1-hour sessions for individuals and distance learners),
a one-day session on a Saturday or Sunday towards the end of the course,
a workbook, CDs and other learning materials,
a follow-up session 4-5 weeks after the end of the classes
and between-session phone contact with me if you need support
with the course work or the materials.
The course is offered in small groups on Wednesday evenings, 6.30pm - 8.30pm, three times a year, starting in
January, May and September.
Please contact me for the exact dates.
Following completion of the course, monthly group meetings are offered in order to support your ongoing Mindfulness Practice.
