ApproachingWinter

A 2-Day online Mindfulness Retreat

IMG_20221215_152334277_edited.jpg

Friday 24th November at 7pm - Sunday 3.30pm 26th 2023

Led by Barbara Hussong and Chantek McNeilage

A 2 day Online Mindfulness Retreat offering the opportunity to practise together, supported by guided meditations, movements, readings and sharing.

Approaching this Winter season can for some bring up challenges, such as the change of light, temperature, shorter days etc. In the space of the retreat, we can become more aware of our habitual reactivity to these changes and allow new perspectives to emerge.

Over these two days we will have time to deepen our practice and resource ourselves. We will experience together a mix of practices enabling us to access and open into a more peaceful state of being. The practices will be lightly guided allowing us to touch into our own inner inquiry and embodied grounded connection. Each day there will be a talk or theme given by one of the facilitators and a time to share your experience. It is important to participate in the entire retreat. Please consider that the home environment is conducive for you to settle into a retreat without disturbance. You will need enough space for movement, lying down, standing and sitting practices.

The retreat will be held on the Zoom platform and we encourage you to use a laptop, computer or iPad and have your video camera on where possible. If you haven’t used Zoom on your device, you might want to check out at www.zoom.us/test if your system is compatible with it.

For those, needing to fulfil the retreat requirements for the Good Practice Guidelines & BAMBA, these 2 days can count towards the 5-day retreat requirement.

Fee: Between £80 – £120, please do feel free to offer what you can between these amounts.

We have limited places to 23, to avoid screen overcrowding.

To apply call:

Mindfulness Supervision and Mentoring

I also offer supervision for Mindfulness teachers as well as individual mentoring and support for Mindfulness practitioners to develop their practice after completing the training.

Mindfulness Practice Days

An opportunity to deepen our Mindfulness practice. We will be exploring the theme throughout the day with formal, guided meditation, informal Mindfulness practice and dialogue.

Compassionate Living Day

Saturday 16th September 2023

10 am - 4 pm

held online via Zoom

This practice day is suited for those who have completed the Mindfulness-Based Compassionate Living course

This will be an opportunity to come together and practise the exercises of the MINDFULNESS-BASED COMPASSIONATE LIVING course that you have done in the past. As we have been living with enormous challenges, particularly since COVID and now with even a lot more worries in our everyday life, compassion for ourselves and for others is a sane response to many pressures we are facing and this approach needs sustained and regular practice.

Much of the day will be in silence and at the end there is the space to share your experience.

I am offering this day online, as COVID regulations are still in flux and to make it accessible for all and include those who don't live in the Maidstone area. We will take regular breaks from the screen for refreshments and lunch and include walking and movement practices.

The fee for the day is £40 - 60. Please choose which amount is appropriate to you at this time.
