A 2-day Online Mindfulness Retreat
Opening to what is
(Photo by SevenStorm JUHASZIMRUS from Pexels)
Friday 19th - Sunday 21st November 2021
Led by Barbara Hussong and Chantek McNeilage
We have pleasure in announcing and inviting you to attend this 2-day online retreat, offering the opportunity to practice together, supported by guided meditations, movements, readings and sharing.
As the seasons change through summer into Autumn we face changes outwardly and inwardly. Moving through these times under the influence of the pandemic we may also face many challenges. This for calls us to be aware as best we can in order to respond to situations and conditions as they arise. How do we best allow the simplicity of opening to what is, here and now in this moment, take place?
Over these two days we will have time to deepen our practice and resource ourselves together, through a mix of lightly guided practices supporting our experience of staying with what we find, moment-by-moment and allowing us to open into our own inner inquiry and embodied grounded connection.
Each day there will be a talk or theme given by one of the facilitators and a time to share your experience. It is important to participate in the entire retreat. Please ensure that the home environment is conducive for you to settle into a retreat without disturbance. You will need enough space for movement, lying down, standing and sitting practices.
The retreat will be held on the Zoom platform and we encourage you to have your video camera on where possible. You will need enough space for movement, lying down, standing and sitting practices. Please consider that the home environment is conducive for you to settle into a retreat.
(For those, needing to fulfil the retreat requirements for the Good Practice Guidelines & BAMBA, these 2 days can count towards the 5-day retreat requirement.)

This will be an opportunity to come together and practise the exercises of the MINDFULNESS-BASED COMPASSIONATE LIVING course that you have done in the past. As we have been living with enormous challenges, particularly in the last 18 months, compassion for ourselves and for others is a sane response to many pressures we are facing and this needs sustained and regular practice.
Much of the day will be in silence and at the end there is the space to share your experience.
I am offering this day online as COVID regulations are still in flux and to also to make it accessible for all and include those who don't live in the Maidstone area. We will take regular breaks from the screen for refreshments and lunch and include walking and movement practices.
The fee for the day is £40 - 60. Please choose which amount is appropriate to you at this time.
If you have any further questions about the technical side or regarding the suitability for you at this time, please get in touch.
I look forward to this precious opportunity of a group practising together and supporting each other in cultivating compassion in our lives.
